Nice! Congratulations on a good choice. A good trailer holds it's value.

Thanks guys. She's loaded up for Sebring! Pulls fine with the Raptor...just squats a little. I may add air bags later for towing. Love it so far! Didn't take long to figure out that I suck backing it up though.

Get one of these: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...l-finder/32410

...and life will be good. I've trucked/trailered/farmed my entire life and one lives in the back of the truck. LOVE it.

Airbags will fix any squat which also causes "loose steering".

Enjoy, She's sweet!

So I ended up working with Brad and Samantha at RPM and bought a new 24' Intech today. It's at the factory having a winch plate welded in then it will make the trip to TX. Brad was quite a bit of help once I got him engaged. He strikes me as a no nonsense guy. Samantha was on point the whole way and overall my experience with RPM has been a positive one. I'll post some pics once I have her. Probably next week. Just in time for the Feb PCA events!

Best bit of advice I ever got about towing...when backing up, the trailer will go the direction the bottom of the steering wheel moves.

^ reviving this thread...

About to buy a featherlite 24 vs ATC 24 with the alu floor. Featherlite is basically barebones for $17k and ATC has similar options, but includes finished interior, cabinets, and bigger 48" side door. about $5k more. Not sure I'm sold on the escape door as rain, dust, and moisture can get inside. Winch is the way to go for sure.

how is the ATC holding up? would you do it again?

thanks

It's been fantastic. Constantly getting compliments on it. The side door is amazing. I never get any rain in there when pulling and the convenience factor is excellent. I've added AC and few other goodies since then. Def a keeper.

I have a winch, but BY FAR prefer to drive in and use the escape door.

Same here. I would never use a winch with the door I have. I don't even own one and have no need for one. If my car dies, there is always enough people around to push it in the trailer. I had one on the trailex and never used it. Waste of money for me. I drive in and get out in seconds.

I've had my ATC in heavy rains for several hours on the highway and when I stopped to refuel, I expected to see water inside around the escape door.....nothing. Mine was built very custom, between the extra space in the Gen box for a spare and the tools to change it, to space in the floor for my floor jack. There are some things I did, which I like, and few that I would do different next time. My biggest mistake was not putting the batteries in an in-floor compartment in the cabinet, so instead they take up the base of the cabinet on the right. We have a Jimglo too, and the trailers are ok for a weekend enclosure. That said, I have an intech being built for karting so I plan to do a comprehensive review between the two and then I'll have a GN built by whichever builder I find to have better craftsmanship.

Here is the unloaded tongue weight. I imagine its close to this or a little lighter loaded based on where the car falls. I'll try and measure this weekend as well as get a certified weigh ticket on it.
