PCA Sebring registration opening tonight!
Who's signing in?
This will be our 2nd time at Sebring since we're doing the PBOC race early in Jan. First time ever at Sebring.
looking forward to see what: 200-300 porsche cars????
i heard the track is very abrasive on tires. We will run hoosier R6 and bfg R1 tires. Comments?
how hard is to learn the track?

I don't think the track is very abrasive, you should be fine. How hard is it to learn? 17 corners, all different. You will never figure out turn 17, no one has. Watch a bunch of videos. See if you can find Leh Keen's fast lap, that will get you interested

Yes, the track is easy to go fast, hard to go VERY fast. That means for most, it's hard to learn.
It's flat, featureless and very bumpy at T1, T10, T13 and T17. On approach, T10 looks just like T13, only the latter is quicker.
T3-4-5 and T15-16 are where a LOT of the time is...
Leh Keen:
I like this even better:
And this tidy lap:
RIP, Sean Edwards. THIS man figured out T17...

Bumpy yes, abrasive not really especially not as compared to others.
Hard to learn, not really. Hard to master definitely.
There is a bit of everything and 17 turns to master.
The best description IMHO is that it is a challenge.

"I" class
Registering for my first race sorta feels like prom night. I've heard this is going to be awesome; I've practiced a bunch; but I am a little afraid of how its all going to turn out.
Sprint race - over very quickly.
Enduro - sprint race is over and now I can pace myself.

Amazing to watch Leah Keen downshift in that video! Wish the video was more clear.
Does anyone know when they start confirming the registrations?
