Believe it or not, the absolutel most fun was probably a Formula 500 I owed about a decade ago....when it didn't break on track. The most consistent fun is my current Van Diemen/Enterprises FE.
Fun: 1,800 lb 240 HP Callaway Turbo Mk1 Rabbit - "Bad Hare". It would only corner on the gas with the Quaife - required commitment!

Minutes ago when more enlightened souls ( as compared wit me the Luddite) were extolling the virtues of a 944 over dinner at the Oak Tree Tavern. Apparently I'm missing out on something!
lotus elise first without doubt. open top, mid engine balance, manual steer/shift, 8500rpm. done
fastest is gtr. difficult to get proper turn in on corner entry but exit under power is hard to beat. as opposed to popular opinion, it is easy to go quickly with it but not easy to go really fast.
ferrari 348. similar to elise but bigger and more power
997 gt3. dont flame me but felt it understeered into corner and oversteered on way out. unstable under hard braking even in straight line.
boxster. still love open top on track but slow and understeer. good for beginner
