Default New and Improved AIM SC HD available now

I just received my first shipment of the new and improved SC HD camera. The case looks to be even more robust than before. The lens is better and at 60 degrees, which I think is about perfect inside a car on the roll bar. You get to see driver hands, steering and full view out the windshield. One of the big improvements is the addition of an external microphone. I also can substitute the microphone cable for the microphone jack which is necessary if you are using the Motec Video Sync Module. I will be at Daytona Oct 23 - 26 if you are at the club race and want to check these out. I'll have a bunch of other AIM stuff with me as well. Call my cell at Daytona 941 228 8964. E-mail me at jerryaustin@verizon.net

Price is $999, same as before. Thanks for looking

They also have a 120 degree version. This camera has a the updated CMOS of the GP version, which is very good.

Interesting -- is the lens swappable?

Frankly, I did not like the 120 lens in the early SC HD GP camera. It worked well on an open wheel car but was terrible in a closed car. I really like the 60 lens for closed cars.

Default Lens comparison

Here is a comparison of the current SC HD lenses GP on right newest regular HD on left. Both have a 60 degree lens. Subtle difference due to camera placement, they are as close to side by side as I could get them. I really like the 60 degree lens. I think it works well in a closed car mounted on the roll bar behind the driver. You can see most of the steering and shifting action.
