Terrible, love this series but there are no races in the northeast. Miller, really?? Very disappointed

Mosport is within reasonable driving distance for NE fans, and a great track. What other tracks in the NE would make for a good pro race event? The only notable track I can think of is the Glen and that is controlled by the NASCAR boys.

That schedule is almost perfect. I'm not a fan of Miller and if I do the entire season next year I'll be skipping that round (unless I'm fighting for the championship).
WGI with GT3 cars would be pretty epic. I don't think the NASCAR politics are as big a hurdle as everyone makes it seem...

PWC offered the 944 Cup a support race for the Mosport event. To make that 944 support race work we would need the support of the Canadian 944 racers.
I had a commitment from a good numbers of drivers from Ontario to attend such an event. I also reached out to Quebecers/944 Challenge, however, I never got an answer from that side of the Canadian contingent, and the support race spot has since been filled by PWC.

Just over a 1 mile track, the facilities have never by upgraded to modern era, no garages, one little snack bar, rooms and restaurants not very close by, stands for the fans minimal, race car parking on the grass, etc, etc. Not suitable for a pro event. Can't race on a Sunday and no practicing on Thursday, so there isn't enough time to fit in a schedule even if all the other issues disappeared.
And if that's the best for the NE, not saying much. The NE really lacks great pro road racing venues other than the Glen.

NASCAR politics translates into $$$$$. In the end, its typically about the money. Seems most pro races at WGI have NASCAR ties. Does this impact the price and profitability of holding an event their for others like PWC? Successful pro series get more offers to go to tracks that weekends on their schedule. So which do you pick, the ones that make the most money.

I only raced once at LR and thought it barely justified a club race. Would not go back to race there myself.
