Are you coasting before the brake zone on the back straight? It looks and sounds as though you're rolling into the brake zone here. The decel on the friction circle is slow to build. Short shift 6th, so you can carry throttle all the way to your brake marker. Then roll more speed thru Turn 7. Its on camber and has a lot of grip. It looks like you're driving straight across the track from the apex of 7 to the entry of 8. You carry more speed thru 7, tracking all the way out, which puts you at the same spot entering 8.

I was just evaluating the data in the video from the OP. He would be the one to answer your question.

Joe, I have to agree that Brian Till was not going 9/10ths.

I know people in Gen 1 street Cayman S (295 hp) that do 1:45s on street tires (MPSS). And they're just regular DE'ers like us - no racer or nothing. A 2007 997.1 Turbo (470 hp and AWD) would be a sub-1:40 car with a pro racer going 10/10ths or 9/10ths.

I really should've had Tommy or Brian drive my car to see what my lowly stock-ish Boxster Spyder is really capable of!! Next time...

Glad everyone had a good time. Let me know what you thought about the mixed instructor/A group.

At the same time, no comment on my flat black 25 997 cup car?

Thanks

Ed, had a blast on Friday with over 3 hours track time--thanks to all involved for a very relaxed, fun day. Brian Till told me he got a kick out of watching the Mini slide around

As you said, something other than white
