FANTASTIC new track being developed in Texas to replace TWS
Full disclosure: I have no financial stake in this project. However, I am involved in it, and have a vested interest in it being built & being successful.

This is something the car clubs in Texas are working on together to help make a reality. It will be built for club level activities, not for the pros. The property is spectacular, with lots of topography. The city of Brenham is very close by and is a great town. Like Dave I have no financial interest, but as a driver and a local PCA officer, I'm pulling hard for this to work!

Got my fingers crossed that this will actually happen and looking forward to adding my support in some way. I come up from Corpus Christi so, it is not as convent as it is to you Houstonian's but still looking forward to the haul.

Woohoo! This comes at a perfect time as I heard TWS will close May 2015.
HUGE thanks go out to Charles von Schmidt, Mike Globe, and Philippe Oberti for the many, many hours they have put into this project already to ensure that amateur racing and HPDE stays vibrant in Texas for a many years to come!
This effort will need everyone's contribution to make this happen from people that can donate $100 for track credit to those that can put in much more for bonds that will pay for the construction.
Can't wait to see this track come to life!

FYI, due to some technical issues, the simulation that is in the video understates the actual topography of the track. We are working on getting a simulation that more closely matches the elevation changes.

Charles' presentation at TWS last Saturday was very impressive. Clearly *a lot* of work has already been put into this. A much needed pick me up around here with the demise of TWS, especially now that it looks like the last TWS event is in next May.
to those working to pull this off. It looks like it has the potential to be an awesome facility.
I'll need to dust off the sim to play with this...

And, as Mike said, the land parcel is fantastic! Smoothly and gently flowing terrain and elevation, plenty of run off space, very close to all amenities...including the home of the best ice cream in the country, Blue Bell
