On my 964 I ran RS3's and Nitto's...Nitto's are awesome on track....drive you bat **** crazy on the highway. RS3's were not so bad on the highway. Nitto's were worth close to 2 seconds at Tremblant open track day. Was a PCA Blue driver then.
On my 951 I have experience with....
Dunlop Star spec z1...Awesome dual purpose tire! And I mean AWESOME!
Toyo R888's are good...B.S. crazy on highway!
Nitto Nt01 are awesome on track....B.S. crazy on the highway!
Second season PCA Black driver now.....
If you have any concerns/questions feel free to PM me.

Cheers

The AD08R has been climbing the charts, and many that have used it prefer them to the Dunlop and MPSC.

Please give me a call if I can help. Thanks.

Damon, you sell Yoko Ao48s but don't seem to have the newer and waaaaaaaaaaaay better Ao50s.
Is there any reason that Yokohama doesn't release these tyres in the U.S. ??
Same for the Hankook Z221. These are the best 2 street legal tyres for a track car that are available in other parts of the world. Seems really weird that their potentially biggest market doesn't have access.

Thanks for the tips Dwane.
I'm an hour drive on these tires to Mosport so I think I can live with B.S. crazy for a great track tire.

I'm assuming these will not be driven on the street?

I have never known anyone who has been happy with the R888.

Toyo and Nitto are the same company. Hard to understand why a distributor who sells Toyos wouldn't be able to get you Nittos. The NT01 is a phenomenal value, as track tires go. And you can drive it on the street.

On the street 1 hr drive to get to the track. Have DD wheels as well.

So many of the aircooled guys are driving the R888 here. I guess the selection for 16's is pretty slim.

My supplier can't get the Toyo or Nitto

Details please?

I've been happy with my Advan 048's, but I'm going a lot faster now than when I first got them.

We run AD08's on 6-GT3's in Texas, they are great.

I also run RS-3's on another car along with Nitto NT01's and they are darn good. The RS3 is shockingly good.

Run Toyo Ra-1's on my 88 Carrera shaved to 4/32 via Phil's tire service. Very durable and predictable.
Was the Spec tire for SCCA Miata class. No experience with others suggested, had such good luck with
them on my Miata stuck with them.

You just can't bolt on set of tires and expect them to work exactly the same for everyone. It takes tweaking and due diligence!

If you only could have 1 set of tires what would you pick?

Turns out the AD08's are back ordered for a month.
Next choice?

I ran BFG G-Force for a while and they were good. Switched over to Hoosier R6 recently and there is more grip. Only thing I don't like about them is there is almost zero warning between grip and no grip. I'm going on my third set this year.

I'm hearing nothing but great things about the RS3's. Just don't under inflate them.
