Default I Bought Ed Neman's X51 Race Car...

Ed is a long time RL member from back in 02'. He was bumped off track about 3 years ago suffering some minor rear end damage and hasn't posted or repaired the car. He finally decided to sell and I was lucky enough to buy it. Ed's the original owner of this 03' sunroof delete 996 with the X51 option. It shipped from NY today so I'll have it in 10 days or so. I hope to have it running within a month...

Good deal!

What classes will the car fit in?

Ed helped me with some things at the track when I first started. Saw that car a lot back then. Good guy.

Significantly more WHP and few hundred more lbs. of weight. The suspension ,tranny, etc. are all very similar. I haven't made more than 286rwhp out of my two 3.4/3.6 motors leaving 25whp on the table at my minimum weight. As you know, competition's tough in POC's GT3 class not to mention the Corvettes in ST2 and I need all the whp I can muster. Once I can dyno it and weight it I'll know whether to lighten the car or restrict the intake but regardless of which way I choose, I'll now be able to run at the limits of my class whether POC or NASA (ST2 or GTS4). Unfortunately then I won't have any more excuses....

Jack I know you've had issue with them but thru 5 years of hard racing and 4 motors I've never blown an OEM one. Motor's hell yes, but AOS's never. Weird....

I was the first one to see a car and meet Ed,

but it was to much project for me at this time/price.

Good luck with a car

Good for you John. Hopefully it's already got one of my diffs in it. Kind of brain damage to move your existing diff over to the new car.
