Very nice. I was there to. Were you the white GTS with what looked like Serran wrap on the car?

Your line points out my flaws ;-(

You're moving through the "S Curves". My best lap was 2:21
I had only driven buttonwillow once before and spent most of the first day developing the line and trying to keep my MPSS pressures in check with the heat.

Default Buttonwillow with ....

Central Coast region of the PCA...great event, their annual DE. Four run groups, Porsche cars + other marques, a really quick Corvette that I gave the passing signal to almost immediately , and a speedy M3 with an aggressive track alignment that I got to do battle with (Until he went off exiting the bus stop).

There was a Carrera S 993 there...finally somebody else crazy enough to take their 993 car to the track. It was one of the last produced, coming with the Aerokit as well as Turbo brakes...black exterior no less, what a beautiful car...sorry, no pics.

A group of us weren't here from GGR / PCA from San Francisco.
Was the 993 polar silver?
I know there's a guy and his daughter who are both instructors with us who share a silver 993 with Aerokit. And they are both quick.

Buttonwillow is a great track. It's to bad it's so far away from me.

First thing, thanks to the GGT/PCA for supporting the Central Coast's PCA event. There was quite a nice turn-out. Buttonwillow is a "fur" piece from SFO, maybe close to 6 hours 1 way?

It takes me (From Paso Robles) 6 hours to get to Thunderhill, and coincidentally, it takes 6 hours to get to AutoClub California Speedway.

If you are asking about my car, it's this one.....excuse the self-serving title of the pic.

Yep the stuff works good! Not a single rock chip or scratch Just some dust in the car from riverside corner trying to kill me during the final lap of the weekend.

Thanks for the photos Greg! Here's one of the silver 993 that was running.. you'll have to click for more pics!

That's Pete Siemens' 993 and yes, he's faster than ****.

Love your video, Bang -- you are indeed Pho King Fast!

That was my first time at Buttonwillow; what a great, challenging course (and the local dining, culture, etc are second to none). Here's a video of my fastest lap (1:15.14):

I'm running Hoosier R6's (I know ... I should be faster w/ those). I'll be returning to Buttonwillow -- it's worth the drive!

Default Thunderhill PCA GGR and NCRC

Mooty writes, "u need to come up to TH with GGR. the fri before GGR is NCRC. lots of so cal guys coming up. it will be fun. see if you can get old man JRG to come up too. he can always teach me new things to go faster."

JRG is going through major motor grief right now...e-mail him, he'll tell you the unbelievable story....BTW, he is in desperate need of a M 96 3.6 crank shaft.

Let me research the date on the TH event. I would love to get back to TH!

Smile Thunderhill Event

THUNDERHILL OPPORTUNITIES
6/7 & 6/8 there is a DE, Hooked on Driving, the 5 mile track!
6/13: Northern California Racing Club (NCRC)....that will be warm, but possibly NOT raging hot.
6/28 - 6/29: NCRC
7/11: NCRC
7/12 7/13 Golden Gate Region

Love this track...NCRC and GGR run great events, don't know much about Hooked on Driving. The fun part about NCRC is mixed marques within a run group. Sort of interesting getting you *** handed to you by a tricked out Miata!

I have got to get back to Thunderhill...they have tire service there as well as a dyno....great cafeteria and very clean grounds...and the track? Spectacular, technical with several blind corners...tests your faith in corner workers!
