any tips on keeping track of tires?
I am pretty good about marking the heatcycles on tires as i go.
But over the course of last year, i lost track of what tires were which. i have 4 unique sets of wheels, i started with tires from year before and there were some 'scrubs' as well as some 'misadventures' that i couldnt keep track of.
I do some left and right swapping and also inside to outside remounts to maximize life. i am cheap i will run them until there is no life left.
I am looking to keep track of the new sets i have.
I guess i could make my own 'inventory number' for each and put them in a tire log book. This way i can plan without staring and markings and moving tires over the place.
For those of you who don't wing it.. do you have any bits of clever you would like to share?

+1 for paint pen
I use different colors depending on whether I flip or rotate tires, which helps tell me how many heat cycles per combo. You could use the paint marker to write whatever else you want on the tire to keep track.
