Default Hawk Blue as Rear Pads???

Listers,

I have accumulated some Hawk Blue pads that I used many years ago to help clean the rotors of brake pad deposits. I have now sorted my braking issues and haven't needed them in a few years and want to clean out the cabinet. Since I upgraded to the Big Red/Black setup the pad sizes will only fit the rears now, so am wondering if I should use the Hawk Blue Pads as the rears or to just sell/scrap them due to the rotor wear and corrosive runors I've read about here. I like the rims I use on the track and don't want to ruin those to save a few bucks on pads.

What is the conventional wisdom of the board? How corrosive is the brake dust if I clean the wheels at the end of each weekend?

As an FYI, my setup is: Big Red/Black fronts, 993 Rears, gutted PV valve, 993 MC & Booster. I typically run Pagid Black or Yellow up front.

Thanks,
-Skip

Not sure if this is any help, but I run Hawk blue's all around and have been very happy with them for years...
If you're looking to 'scrap' the 993 rear size, PM me, that's what I use on the fronts of my car - never have too many sets of pads....
