Whatever you think of the engine sound from outside the new F1 cars, the onboard sound is less than impressive IMHO. The whine of the turbo is very evident in this video(more so than other testing videos that I have seen) and it sure doesn't sound as good as the old high-revving NA engines.

Maybe during live onboard footage feeds during races they can mix in the sounds of the old V-10s...
