so whats the point of having the GPS with the C125 if you don't have logging? Will it do active lap times just for the time it is powered on?
How about major differences between pro/standard software?

The difficulty with MoTeC is it's all modular. Sure, the display is $2420 or thereabouts, but there are $500-$800 upcharges (each) for 1) logging data, instead of just a display, 2) the harness to plug anything into it, 3) the track kit including buttons and GPS, 4) additional I/O and CAN in/out expansion option and 5) pro logging, which at the very least is required to sync video, but is the reason WHY ANYONE would want to get the MoTeC in the first place!
My demo system for my car, with all the options I need to equal the functionality of rival options, was about $4980.

Spoke to AIM California yesterday. Hardware is done (not sure if it's in the country, but imminent), software is still going through testing both here and in Italy. I have to believe it will be sooner rather than later.
I do know that they won't hold it up very much longer and, because of the pressure from the US dealer network and importer, that they will release the hardware with basic, tested software and enable advanced features through subsequent software and firmware releases.

Matt references their FB page post.
The real McCoy will be when a new firmware is released on the Italian home page...
THEN, that would be a good indicator that they have at least been shipped to the importer, then a few days after that to the premier, stocking, higher volume dealers, then later on to the non-stocking dealers.
We're all just waiting, fingers crossed... I've already lost a few MXL2 builds to C125 sales (thankfully I'm a dealer for them, too), the very product I think is most competitive. At least there are alternatives, although I think the MXG is a more direct C125 competitor.

Glad I didn't wait; putting in a used MXL was better than having an empty space where the new version was supposed to be mounted.
And helped with the budget, too.

I've recommended for a long time installation of the EVO4 and either the G-Dash display (for those who don't need a dash replacement) or an MXL-Dash (a display only piece that is perfect for a dash replacement) in lieu of the MXL-Pista.
Part of the reason why is that the MXL is ten years old, has no integrated GPS capability (although that can be added), has NO longitudinal accelerometer (unacceptable for my applications) and is based on very old architecture. The MXL-Dash is gutless, but has a better backlight and, with firmware updates, is capable of displaying anything a logger can send to it. The EVO4 is current architecture, three-axis accelerometers, integrated GPS and is a tidier package. All for less than the MXL Pista plus GPS-05.
I'm excited about both the MXL2 and the MXG, but for people that need this stuff NOW, there are better alternatives than a used MXL Pista...
