Are most of you running your loggers through the ECU or CAN connections on the 991 GT3. I'm about to purchase a Solo DL but am not sure which one to select. Thanks

While you can get reasonable and the most important information from the OBD-II connection from the standard 991, the 991 GT3 benefits most from the CAN connection.

The CAN connection is a way to get information directly from the ECU, whereas the OBD-II is merely the diagnostic stream of less and slower rate of transmittal.

You can't go wrong with the Solo DL. Buy from me and I'll set it up for you and show you where and how to wire it in.
