Default Rumored PCA Club Race at Laguna Seca

I keep hearing rumblings about a possible Club Race date at Laguna. Can anyone here confirm or deny this rumor? We're all trying to schedule our race calendar for next year and it would be great to know sooner than later. There's nothing on the PCA site's schedule for 2014 at this point. Perhaps Steward B or Bryan Henderson can shed some light.

Thanks, Mike Q

I posted this on another thread... All the Cali Spec Boxster's will be a the POC event June 28-29 with a 105 dba sound level. We'll have 3 race groups, our "blue/green" group is lead by the Spec Boxsters. Link to last year's event: ...

For the last couple years the events at LS have not been announced much in advance (a couple months notice and never in the early schedule). Once it was done in conjunction with Rennsport Reunion and a couple times as part of an SCCA weekend. (I've done one of the SCCA weekends and it was fun.) At the moment the GGR PCA website says the competition director position is vacant (the one that would normally be able to answer questions). I've sent an email to another GGR officer asking if there is talk of doing it again.

Ran there in like '02 or '03 when the California Festival of Speed gave us 2 run groups (out of 6) It was nice to race there but track time was limited. We left the cars out in CA and came back a month later and ran Sears Point which was a great experience. Hopefully Laguna will come back to us in PCA.

I got a message that GGR PCA is trying to work with SCCA to add a race to the schedule in early June (as in the previous couple years).

2014 runoffs are at laguna. Scca races at laguna will see record entries. I wouldn't be shocked to see them not share their weekends in 2014.

Hey guys, We're trying to work with SCCA to get a run group at Laguna Seca in June for a PCA Club Race as we've done the past few years. So far no luck, as SCCA Nationals are at Laguna as mentioned above. Still trying. Will post as soon as we know.

Hey all - No luck getting a slot w/ SCCA this year at Laguna Seca for a PCA Club Race. Still pursuing a few other options.

Looks like the POC race is a good alternative for the June time frame.

If you or anyone else is serious about joining us line up your ducks early. Although we have 3 run groups of 35 cars each we will sell this event out @105 dba (very rare for a club event). Line up your car rental if necessary, register and join POC on our website, and forward your racing or TT credentials to our Chief Driving Instructor for approval. He is:
