Default Convert a MY08 cup chassis to R. Fit wider tires to 996R.

Hi guys,
Wish you all enjoyed a great Christmas.

I was racing a MY00 996R with front 24 rear 27 Michelin or Yokohama. Our series is a mix of various formulas so there are 600bhp evos, Imprezas, V8 Toyota 86s using 330 special tires from Super GT, Australian super V8, 3.8 cup cars, Ferrari 458 Challenge, Lambo Trofeo.

The thing is, with a very close gearing, the mighty 996R is not slow compare to these heavy cars. But it has an disadvantage of thinner tires. I want to explore the option of going to front 27 rear 31, or even front 30 rear 31.

I've seen such cars in existence. Can you guys point me to the thread if it exists? I tried using search but I could not find such.

Another option is to take my 08 cup car and make it into a GT3R. It's been done here before and it is mighty fast around corners.

I do not plan to touch the engine.

What do you guys think?

Thank you and have a great new years day.

Regards,
Sam

contact any of the grand am teams. they are pretty familiar with those kinds of changes as they had to do it , i think to accomodate the 285, 295 grand am tires sizes increase in 2012. my rolex cup has had its rear quarters done so you can ekeep a low ride height but still accomodate the bigger tire.
