Why no COTA?

It would depend a lot on track time. At this year's PCA event the DE guys were lucky to 4 to 5 hot laps on the track per time out. And on top of that the Cup guys insisted on having a close personal relationships with the Air Wall by the esses, which really cut down on the available track time. I (do not know if I would race or just DE) would pay that for a 3 day event if the time spent on track would improve, which I doubt.

I'd pay that for an LSR type DE. Probably would pass if it were a combined race/DE based on what I've heard and read about the PCA event there. Austin is close and I have family there too.

This is great feedback. Mike and I are looking at various ways to have more of these events, both in Texas (but obviously not at COTA) and elsewhere. One of the biggest challenges we face is renting tracks in a way where neither of us assumes liability personally. We are looking to partner with some sort of incorporated entity to solve this issue...

I would if there was no club race and the groups were resonable size. Last year was really not worth the cost and effort for the DE drivers.

For anyone interested……
COTA called MVPtracktime to inform them that the weekend had changed to 7-9 Feb. No reason given to MVP. Anyone who had reg'd got an email, but for those considering, it is now 7-9 Feb.
no fault of MVP.
