Agreed, but you have to find it interesting when one of them clips the winglets off and then runs faster laps and they don't call the driver in until it is time for a tire change.

That is so true. When the F1 cars were running barge boards the same thing would happen... they didn't skip a beat.

Aero devices on an F1 car are like the Federal government: there are so many layers upon layers of just "things" that are redundant that if a few were clipped here and there not only would it not hurt, but it would be better.
