Hi All - am installing a new SC HD. Going from SC HD to a CAN hub which then feeds AIM Pista and GP05. Have updated firmware on the camera, PISTA and GPS. All looking good. But SmartyManager2 is not recognizing the camera. And when I look at the Devices in my RaceStudio it shows the device but says "Unknown Logger". When I use the FirmUpdater, similar issue - has no name for the device, and yet thinks everything is up to date.
Any thoughts? Appreciate the help.
I had a similar problem where SmartyManager2 wouldn't recognize my SmartyCam HD. I ended up uninstalling all the AiM software including the USB driver, and re-installing it all (originally I had just upgraded all of the software without uninstalling first). It then worked without issue.
If any of you are on Windows 8.1, check for the latest Smartymanger2 update from AIM - they fixed a bug that was causing connectivity issues with Win 8.1 machines..
From: Durham, NC and Virginia International Raceway
There is a software update for Smartymanager 2 and a firmware update for the camera over the last few days.
