That's pretty funny.

So if I'm to understand this correctly, PCA and BMWCCA are slow, but NASA is too fast for the SCCA guys and complain they are being misclassified?

It's not slow or fast; it's a Spec Racer Ford thing. They tend to race in SCCA where they have the numbers to have their own race. If they race a NASA event, they get put in with faster and bigger cars, which is not terribly comfortable. So they feel compelled to do SCCA events and now they may have to do more than "refresh the duct tape."

Indeed! My spec miata would certainly not classify as "neat and clean" by summit point standards! Funny NASA TX had no problem with my dents and dirt and was happy to have me there
