1986 944 Turbo E-stock race car for sale
1986 Porsche 944 Turbo Race Car
PCA E-stock car with logbook
Some details about the car:
- At minimum weight (3049lbs) with me in it (180lbs) and lots of gas
- Almost perfect balance, 25% on each corner (within 10lbs usually)
- Strong engine, rebuilt a few years ago, regular oil analysis shows no issues what so ever.
- Runs on Motul 300V competition oil
- Meticulously maintained by RAC Performance of Dallas
- Later years model front end (hubs, spindles, control arms)
- Slotted Frozenrotors brake rotors up front, stock rotors in the rear
- Hawk DTC-60 brake pads
- Heating/Air Conditioning system completely removed (nothing left)
- Steel braided fuel lines
- Recaro racing seat with seat brace on driver's side
- Sparco racing seat on the passenger side
- Comes with 17" Nardi wheels on the picture (very strong wheels) and BFG-R1 tires (a little life left on them)
- Comes with a home-made cool suit system compatible with a cool shirt. Similar to a cool suit box, with possibility to control the flow of water through a **** on the center console.
- I also have a set of "rain tires" on 17" Carrera II's with almost new Sumitomo's on them (3 sessions only in the wet) but it is not part of the base package.
Recent work:
- Welded cage custom made by Brink Racecraft of Dallas, includes dash bar in 2013
- New MCS (Lex Carson) double adjustable suspension with 900# Hypercoil springs 2013 ($4,500 worth) in 2013
- New head gasket (wide fire) and new belts (Carbon belt) in 2013
- New 3" exhaust pipe 2013
- New front control arms and front wheel bearings 2013
- New lightweight alternator 2013 (1 race on it)
- New driver side harness (Teamtech) in 2012
- New turbo cycling valve 2012
- New master and slave clutch cylinder 2013
- New power steering pump 2013
- New camshaft seal and rear main seal 2013
Car was raced at the following events:
- PCA: MSR 2012, TWS 2013, Hallett 2013
- COMMA (Hallett): 2013
- Multiple DE's around Texas in the last few years
For those who saw me wrenching at Hallett last weekend, the problem was a bad starter. I will replace that before the car sells.
I am selling it because I just bought a SP996. Changing class. I doubt this car can win in the E-stock class, but with a good driver in it, perhaps a top 5 car. It would be a great car for someone who wants to learn how to go faster at DE's and tack days without being worried of a high cost crash and to get a first step into racing for cheap. That's what I did, now I need to move to a bigger league. Great training tool for cheap.
Asking:
$15,000 without the rain tires/wheels
$16,000 with the rain tires and wheels.
Car will be visible at RAC Performance in Carollton, TX (Dallas area) starting October 18th.
PM me with any question etc...

I've been asked to add some pictures of the inside, cage etc... Here they are.
The radio box on the pictures, attached to the roll bar, is coming off, not part of it. I have a portable radio harness that I am going to keep.
The home made coolsuit system is part of car.
