Just stayed on the property at the hotel at turn 7. Nicest $120 per night room I've stayed in for a long time. Plus free bottled water, Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, yogurt and granola bars. Plus all have jacuzzi tubs and separate showers.

I prefer the Lodge at VIR, the Paddock Suites or sharing one of the Villas with friends, on-site.
Off campus, I like the Sleep Inn, Holiday Inn Express in Danville or the Hampton Inn in Danville or Roxboro, NC. There's always Berry Hill in South Boston, too.

If the onsite isn't available, I stayed in the Courtyard Marriott in Danville. Cheap and not too far from the track. 10 miles at most. Next time I'll do onsite, though.
