What does an avg. H Stock or Spec 996 go for?
What's the going price for an avg. or even below avg. H Stock 996 or Spec 996 these days? Something that isn't pretty and doesn't have the best parts on it... but does meet the criteria for competition. Just doing a little market research on something I know might be for sale soon.

I have my SP996 for sale asking $55,000.... its at the top of the range with everything new 2012 including 3.4L crate motor. Three sets of wheels and 5 sets of tires, one set new, another set 2 HC, the rest a variety of HC's good for practice or DE's etc. A strong running and looking car.

Thanks, I really appreciate the responses. Pretty big range there but as you say...MANY variables.
PS - I have a complete (non-grenaded) assembled 3.4L case if anyone is in need of a short block for a race project. Plans are to "freshen the heads" and slap it back together next year but I thought I'd toss it our here in case anyone was in need. Given the value of a complete engine I'm not giving it away so please no low ball offers. But if somebody has a real need for a good core ... it's available.

Mike car above is very well built, top of the line and every detail taken into consideration. Truly a buy and drive race car. No relationship just know the car well. Would have bought it last year had it been for sale before I purchased a SPB

I'm assuming the recent increase in early 996 Cups on the market at reasonable prices will keep 996 spec values at the lower range. From a shear value perspective it's hard to compare the two. One may argue the overall operating costs between the two but the Cups seem to sell very quick when priced appropriately.
