Mark, I could be completely wrong but I thought Ed only ran the loves park store while Eddie ran the chicago area stuff, river oaks, and the Acura store in Florida. I'm completely guessing here but they could have ran the race operations way deeper if it made fiscal sense. It didnt, so pulling out now was just a smart move.

On a side note, everybody sees who has continued to be successful with the cayman, so there are a few strong options for both pro and club racing. Both the old and new cayman have a very bright future indeed. You'll see.

+1 on Olsen. I've known him for a few years and they know the Cayman's inside out. If you live in that area, great choice.

Not that it helps most of the Interseries guys in the Midwest and East, but the Interseries cars are written into the currently unpopulated CaymanSpec (CSR) class with the Porsche Owners Club (POC) in SoCal.

My Cayman was one of two cars that started the class. I have moved to GT3 and the other is parked, so for now the CSR class is fallow, but a couple of Interseries cars could certainly serve as the catalyst to restart the group. StuJelly?

Additionally, the Interseries cars, with modest weight reduciton, should be competitive in POC GT3 (9.01 #/RWHP).

Please contact me if you want more information on racing Caymans with the POC.

Finally, you can add Vision Motorsports to the list of race shops that can support the Interseries cars out west.

Cheers,

What did you miss since Festival? You missed Buttonwillow on 5/11 & 5/12 and the Tribute to Le Mans at AAA on 6/1 & 6/2.

Next up is AAA Speedway on 8/24 & 8/25. We then run at Miller on 9/20, 9/21 & 9/22, Laguna Seca on 10/5 & 10/6, and finish the year on 12/7 & 12/8 at Willow Springs.

So where would Interseries owners start with weight reduction? What about other mods? Any suggestions on exhaust- ie deleting the cats?

Cayman nation , We will survive its better to grow 1 series and focus , Matt at Guards thanks for the plug we at CSR are building cup car quality Porsche Builds . I you are wanting to test drive email me . chris.smith@chrissmithracing.net

ITC and Doug Livingston have grown a great product and have success with 3 different levels and allow Teams like myself to be a franchise so its not one-sided like napelton was Geoff Isringhausen and Isinghausen Imports Porsche have set the Bar for Porsche for having a staff of employees full of integrity of the brand .
