When I left my smartphone out in the rain, I saved it by submerging it overnight in a bowl of uncooked rice. I'm sure you'll find other techniques by Googling it. Good luck!

It's been in rice since it happened and wI just put the battery and SIM card back in. It fired up and seems to work fine now. I'm going to put in back into the rice bag overnight and hopefully I dodged an expensive bullet....

I deleted the URL in the quote to make it easier for you to delete the orignal link when you sober up.
How many downloads already?
Cheers,

If you are in a hurry you can try a quick trick. Take a 6 to 8 foot length of strong cord and securly tie the phone to it. Make a loop on the free end to hold on to. Go somewhere that has plenty of open space around you and spin the phone around in a big circle over your head. You don't have to shout "How-dee Im' a Cowboy". Big circle and fast as you can and maintain control. The G force and air flow will speed dry water trapped inside. Sounds stupid but it works. Have spun dried a couple of phones and a Kindle. 3 to 5 min spin and back on. BTW Take the battery out as fast as you can if your phone gets wet. Voltage flowing through the water can eat up the phone before you can get it dried. spin the phone without the battery in.

OK, so was this really a hut tub or did you bend over to flush the toilet and it fell out of your shirt pocket?
