Been stressing because it would not take my PayPal payment, but I guess I'm registered for now and that's all that matters.

PayPal must be screwed up because it did not take my payment either.

I'm just going to send Pete a check...that's probably what they'd prefer anyhow.

yes, their link or email to paypal is whacked out. if you look, you'll see your registration as payment pending on clubreg.
and if you go to paypal youll show it as unclaimed . on their scripts looks like they used a "pay to" email account they hadnt set up on paypal.
im in that boat, ive gotten emails from 5, 6 guys in that same boat.

ive sene this before when i send a paypal payment to someone who doesnt have a paypal account. they get a notice of incoming payment, request to open the aco**** and then its claimed, deposited. pete might want to go that route and 'claim' all these unclaimed, or might just let them lapse (they lapse in like 24 hours if not claimed) and ask for a check.

im sure if there are issues they'll go to time stamps.

The paypal function is part of the clubregistration.net website. I have e-mailed the webmaster so he will be aware of any problems. Your entry into the event is based on the time stamp at registration. As long as we receive your payment in a timely manner you will be in the event.

not needed. high power cars will pull away, low power will fall back. I think last year I was on the back of the field in like 3 laps.
two run groups would work!

You mean a split start the way continental does with GT and St cars? I remember how well THAT works - especially at RA last year. Twice the opportunity for T1 carnage. Be different if it were a bigger track maybe.

I was Joking about a split start. I have participated in this event every year and it is alot of fun. This event and the Schattenbaum club race was thought up after a few beers and working on targa tops in Dan's garage. Rumor has it that the Nasa portion was cancelled.

I've done a couple of these and don't recall one incident or even standing yellow.
The participants driving a very eclectic mix of cars put on a good show for the Grand Am crowd which may be one of the reasons we kept being invited back.
Weather (hot) was usually a b-itch.
It will be interesting to see if they pull more of a spectator crowd for ARCA. You could have shot deer at most of the GA events .
