Replacement pump for cool suit cooler?
My replacement pump crapped out over the winter (guess I should have taken it out of my wreck and dumped it, eh?) so I need to replace it. Want to go with something that moves a little more water, any of you mad scientist's find a drop in replacement that works well?

I'll measure it up and get the one with best GPM of water at highest head (for the size), would assume that would be a good way to go.. thanks
Not a "boat" guy, no idea where a marine store may be but i'll Google it, thanks!

Xx on the marine bilge pump. My CoolShirt system uses Marinco pumps that snap into the existing bracket. Only issue is the electrical connection. I extended the new wires to make connection outside of the cooler, and then re-filled the hole in the cooler with bathroom silicone. There's probably a fancier wire solution, but mine doesn't leak yet.

Just remember, the bigger the pump, the more heat it produces, the faster it melts your ice. I built a homemade cool suit system, using the exact same cooler and rule pump as the original, for less than half the price. I think the flow is limited much more by the length and diameter of the tubing on the shirt, and a bigger pump won't give you significantly better flow.
