HA!! i put helium in those wheels. impacts down-force, and if im truley board late at night, i can suck the helium out and talk in funny voices.
you can see the video of the race and some of the hang time moments heading over the crest of that hill at the video below. you can also see the pass under yellow that occupied mike and i just timed my run to lucky perfection. it was actual all luck as i forgot how far down the straight the line was. i had Tiv Heinlein on the radio yelling green as i think baron bolted off the front and i got lucky on the timing.
the first few times the car got air like that i was like all over the radio asking for some ideas on how to not flip it. i could swear being in that car, it felt like evil knevil and i was jumping 2 school buses when reality is, you're probably 8 inches off teh ground for 100 feet. just a new sensation that i never got comfy with. plus you couldnt go to full power till you landed straight.

Trying to plan my trip and my brother in law said I can't take my Pick up and enclosed trailer on the Taconic parkway.
What is the best route assuming I am coming east on 84 ?

On I-84 East bound.
Cross Hudson River. Go about 5 miles, Exit 13, Rt 9.
Left at bottom of ramp
Go about 1 mile, Turn Right onto 52.
Then Rt 82
Take Rt 82 up through the Village of Millbrook. Then Right onto 44
Straight through Armenia onto 343
At Sharon, CT, left onto 41 (Watch your speed after Sharon!!)
Turn right at 112 to Lime Rock.
Sounds complicated, but not really. Just a lot of small roads. It will probably take you 1.5 hr to go that last 45 miles.
Wave if you see #177!!!

Scott - another way, in reality maybe 20 miles and 25 min longer - 95% highway
Go 81N/E to 78N/E to 287 N/E to Garden State Parkway North back to 287 East across the Tappenzee Bridge, to 684 N/E to 84East to Rte 8 North. Take 8 North to Rte 4 N/W exit, follow up the mountain to the rotary at Rte 63, go right on Rte 63 North, turn left on Rte 126, Left on Johnson Rd. to the end, left on Rte 7, bear right on Rte 112, go past the upper entrances to Limerock (on your left), take a hard left on White Hollow Rd, look for the entrance about a 3rd of a mile up on the left.
Easy!

What was it, just two years ago, that Paolo was wavering whether to get started in Club Racing at all?
All kinds of issues and questions, indecision.....
I'll bet he hasn't done a DE since!
What say, Paolissimo?

Everyone please stop by and let Frank know how great his car looks a Lime Rock. It was only a 24 page post on the painting of it. With all that thought process in designing it,its the least we can do.
