Really stupid question about to go down:

While looking at the Rennline tow hooks, what is meant by "special factory Porsche thread"?

As used, the words "special" and "Porsche" are a euphemism for "costly", "dear", and/or "expensive"...

Oh yes, I know that theory well! I am just trying to figure out what the hell is so magical about a threaded hole in my 996 bumper.

The special Porsche thread fits the OE Porsche threads on the bumper.

The other threads they sell are different and only fit the Rennline threads - ask me how I know and why I have an extra tow-hook that does not fit my bumper.
