How many run groups will we have?? Anyone?

Saw Cervelli last week and I think that the time off has been very, very good to him.
Excited to see the Oregon guys spreading the Spec911 word.

Looks like another DE signup for Lone Star Region to me. DEs at TWS normally have close to 200 registrants in the first 10 minutes. If you are green or blue (beginner/intermediate) you'd better be in on the first 2 minutes if you want to be sure of a spot.

It's a good thing Chris Alvarado lives down here and has had years of DEs to practice for this club race signup

Isn't there a limit of around 225? I guess the registrar will have to sort out who made it in before the tent was full.

So that's about 2 weeks for me to go from noob to advanced. So you're telling me there's a chance?

So will it be 4 race groups? Does that leave room for DE? I don't mean that to be offensive so don't jump me!

I believe it will be 3 race groups, 2 DE groups, but am partially guessing here.

Be fun to see you back at a PCA race Rob.

Does anyone know how many race groups the event will have?

Im assuming a minimum of 3 groups of 40 cars each (120 total). It will most likely be ran like RR, with:

1. GTC Classes (Factory Cups)
2. GT Classes (Modified High HP)
3. GT Classes/Spec (Modified Low HP)

Likely 3 groups of about 75 cars each.

I don't believe that there has yet been a determination as to which classes will be assigned to which groups.

COTA's the length of Sebring and they put 75 cars in the sprints and 90 in the enduros there, so I am assuming some really big run groups.

I think that's too many for a track no one knows yet.

Which is why IMHO the track will offer the Thursday test & tune to racers registered and confirmed for the event.

someone please post a thread when the motorsportreg site has the test and tune listed. If I am towing 19 hours each way, I want to get every available minute on track.
