Default 997 Cup Car pricing - gauging interest

In helping a friend/client find a new home for his 997 Based GT3 cup car, I wanted to reach out to rennlist for pricing help.

The car was number #56 below. It was the winner of multiple races in 07 including the 24 hours of Zolder.

http://www.racingsportscars.com/driv...Dumarey-B.html

Around 2008, it was imported to the US. Since then it has been in the hands of the ex Farnbacher Loles race team at Goldcrest Motorsports. Last year, it had one SCCA Race at Road Atlanta and one NASA race there.

Goldcrest has fully maintained the car including full time trackside support. Partial work in 2012 includes

gearbox rebuilt
New clutch
Jew JRZ RS Pro's
Radios, GPS, Shift Light
Wing, hood, new harnesses
Race suspension setup
Motor hours unknown at the time of import

Here is an in-car lap at Road Atlanta last year - 1:27

Thanks

Did this start as a street GT3? The cage is not cup car standard. Door bars are different as is the bracing in the rear....

Interesting car. Never seen white interior door panels like that before. Looks like it would run in GTA2 in PCA. Looks nice though.

I asked Goldcrest the same thing. Apparently it was built from a bare GT3 tub.

my guess is about 60 grand.
2009s are 105ish.
there are some nice 07s and 08s for 75 80k.
as a street tub, having to now run in gtA2 in pca, etc. it would have to be a discount to an 07. and thats before understanding hours, condition, etc.

Ok, I was finally able to talk to one of the head guys at Goldcrest about this car to get more details.

He said that everything on the car is 997.1 Cup Car. It appears to them that the Belgium race shop that built the car (GPR Racing) from a street tub with all 997 Cup Parts. All suspension, axles, motor, DME are cup. In addition, the car has a fuel cell. They assure me that the car is very strong, completely sorted, and ready for the new owner to go race a club race. The current owner has run the car 5 times under their supervision. Body is perfect with no signs of any accident damage.

Price is $80,000
