Anyone try the new Chatterbox
Got an add from some group for the new Tandem Pro 2 Chatterbox. Supposed to be better all around and about the same price, $65.
Anyone try it yet? Is it worth replacing my old, still working Chatterbox or should I just wait 'till it dies?

Better in my tests. I would guess the $65 is just for the unit. It has a new connector and won't take the old style headsets. PM me if you want a price for the whole setup.

A new connector!?! WTF, I just bought a Stilo helmet with integral mike and speakers. Paid $60 for a Stilo to Chatterbox cable. Are you telling me I'll have to buy another Stilo cable if I want to use the new Chatterbox?

Stilo has the traditional Motorola female plug in the helmet. HMS sells a Motorola male to serial cable that fit the original Chatterbox cable.

No ready made cables available for the Stilo to the new chatterbox connector, the Stilo end is 7.1 mm NATO helicopter connection, the new chatterbox connector is 3.5mm 4 pole male plug on the earpiece, female on the box itself. Avionics shops should have the NATO, but the other is hard to find so far.
