Default Recommendations for a race school near a nice place to visit

I'm looking for a good race school that is near a city where I can go out to some nice restaurants or maybe do some tourist stuff when I'm done. Any recommendations?

If you can't swing a SCCA school in the middle of July or August at Nelson Ledges, then the Russell school at Sonoma would be an excellent choice.

Unfortunately...most tracks are in the middle of nowhere... But if there are ones at Sonoma or Laguna, heck, maybe I'LL go!

Laguna Seca has Carmel close by. Lots of good restaurants in Carmel. Nice for looking at art galleries or if your wife likes to shop. Monterey aquarium and a few other things to do in Monterey or you can drive down the coast to Big Sur. (Skip Barber still has schools at LS)

Sears Point is in Sonoma. It's about an hour to downtown SF (Union Square) if you want shopping or a special restaurant. It's 30 minutes to Sonoma's main square for food and wine. Napa valley is next to Sonoma valley or you can head up to Healdsburg and Dry Creek for even more options for food and wine. (But I don't think Russell does the school here anymore)

Laguna Seca (Monterey, CA) is a great place to relax with great food and scenery.

but if Las Vegas interests you(shows, food, gambling) 45 min west is Spring Mt Motorsports resort. http://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/

Thanks guys. I usually do napa near harvest(October/November). I planned on going to leguna or sanoma then. My friend just visited spring mountain and loved it. That's a entertaining thought being that I'm a single guy and its near Vegas. Never been to AZ so bondurant sound good. What about Road Atlanta?

Chateau Elan is a nice resort very close to Road Atlanta. Atlanta is about 45 minutes or so to the south. If you time it right you could also arrange to attend an event at Atlanta Motorsports Park, about 40 minutes west of Road Atlanta.
