I am buying a 89 944 Turbo Cup - Mobil 1 Replica that has run in G class, I want to run in the same class. I am doing some engine work and noticed that that the Lindsey wastegate is red, there is only 1 port, rules say it has to be blue club gate? Any help would be appreciated.

Is that Dan Ryall's former car? Seemed like he did a nice job on it, especially for a DIY project.

I'd contact Lindsey...for a reasonable cost they can inspect it, validate it has a legal spring inside and reseal it with a letter to validate that it's per PCA CR rules.

Yes it is Dans car, a friend of mine bought it from him. He did do a nice job not sure about the blue paint though

+1 on contacting Lindsey. I have a Lindsey gate on my 87 turbo and it's blue and sealed. I thought the red ones were dual port. Maybe he capped one of the ports.

Red ones are dual port. I have owned both, sealed one from Lindsey is blue. Contact me if you're interested in selling the d/p gate...
