HOD NE announcement
Good Day Drivers and HOD Enthusiasts!
Today, we are proud to make an announcement that is an important step for the Hooked On Driving movement nationally:
Joe Mills, our very first Region owner, has done a great job building the HOD brand with quality events run by quality staff and volunteers. Joe is well-respected by his team and by his customers. We at HOD National appreciate the important contribution he, his family and team have made to the development of Hooked On Driving.
With this announcement, Joe is moving forward to continue his successful professional career and change roles with the NE Region of Hooked On Driving. Joe will remain a key part of the NE Region team, but relinquish ownership and its ongoing responsibilities.
Active driver, Dr. Fred Edelman and his wife Bridget will step in to take the ownership role, and bring with them a proven industry leader who is known to many of you – Jay Tepper, as the Regional Director. Jay will be the “main man” in developing the Region and managing events, with the support of the Edelmans, and Joe Mills continuing to assist the team. We are very excited about this – as it is a win/win/win/win situation – a very rare occurrence in nature OR business! The Edelmans are enthused about being closer to their passion, Joe will be able to enjoy the events and select his role, but move on from full responsibility. Jay will apply extensive skills and experience that have prepared him well for this time and responsibility. Thus, Hooked On Driving moves forward as a leader in the Northeastern performance driving market.
Ah – one more winner – the Northeast HOD drivers!! You will have a widely expanded schedule of events and venues with 16 DAYS ON TRACK, including a brand new configuration with new pavement at Pocono!! And that's just for now - stay tuned.
Here is the 2013 schedule for the Northeastern Region of Hooked On Driving as of 1/23/13:
· April 20-21 - Sat, Sun - Pocono's South and East Combined - New configuration!
· May 24 - Fri - Pocono Single Infield - The fastest road course in the Northeast!
· June 21 - Fri – New Jersey Motorsports Park - Lightning Course
· July 22 - Mon - Pocono – South/East Combo
· Aug 5-6 – Mon-Tue - NJ Motorsports Park - Lightning Course
· Aug 25 - Sun - Pocono Full Double Infield - New infield configuration!
· Sep 7 – Sat EVENING – Pocono North – (HOD is tentatively set to be the official manage the Motorsports Rehabilitation Foundation Annual Twilight Event)
· Sep 22 - Sun - Pocono Full Double Infield
· Oct 9-10 – W-Th – Watkins Glen International
· Nov 8-9 – Fri-Sat – Shenandoah at Summit Point (Tentative)
