Default clutch/flywheel questions for 3.6 transplant

I have purchased a rs style lightweight flywheel for my 3.6 and have discovered that the KEP pressure plate from my 3.2 will not work with my G50-1 gearbox. The 3.6 rs type flywheel moves the clamping surface of the wheel much further back towards the gearbox than the 3.2 flywheel. Do any of you experienced transplanrters know what clutch, TO bearing, guide tube etc. I will need to use? Looks like my other alternative is to purchase a conversion flywheel from Patrick MS for around $700.00

Update. I ended up purchasing the Patrick MS flywheel made for the G50-1 gearbox. This enables one to use all the clutch parts you already have and puts the ring gear where you need it. You will also need to get a 964 flywheel position sensor bracket if your 3.6 is from a 993. Now I need to gain about 1-1/2" for the top of the varioram intake. Looks like some surgery to the rear shelf area

Dennis,

You might want to look at this response similar to your question --

OK, I'm busted, I frequent both sites for useful (well not all of it is useful) information.

Scott & Roy, it seems the spacer method is the most common fix for this problem. I'm not crazy about lowering the engine closer to the pavement, (apx. 1") but I don't really want to chop the firewall.

You can also jack up the car by the rear parcel shelf. (a four by four on top of the jack works) It can give you just enough crown in the shelf to give you room.

Yes, I found this on a search of the other site and I was able to get about 3/4" more room with that technique. I may only need a small spacer (1/4" or 3/8") to make it work. They called it the "gurney bump"
