Default Sebring Hotel List

Thought this might be of interest since January will be a busy month at Sebring.
Jan. 10-13 - PBOC Winterfest
Jan. 19-20 - Chin Motorsports
Jan. 29-30 - David Murry Track Days
Jan. 31-Feb 3 - PCA 48 Hours at Sebring

La Quinta - 10 minute drive to track, beautiful rooms, nice diner across the highway
http://www.laquintasebring.com/

Inn on the Lakes - 20 minute drive, longtime favorite on a lake, GREAT restaurant and bar
http://www.innonthelakes.com/sebring-hotels.html

Chateau Elan (at the track on Turn 7) convenient but TERRIBLE restaurant, so you end up having to drive into town to eat
(**NOTE: The hotel recently changed hands as a part of the ALMS-Grand AM merger.)

Residence Inn - Marriott - 20 minute drive, pricey but NICE
http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...e-inn-sebring/

Holiday Inn Express - 20 minute drive
http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/e...lr/hoteldetail

Sebring Inn - 15 minute drive - Basic Mom & Pop $50 a night, come armed
http://sebringinn.kk5.org/

Sunset Beach Motel - 15 minute drive - OLD Mom & Pop on the lake, nice restaurant and grocery store next door
http://mysunsetbeachmotel.com/

Kenilworth Lodge - 10 minute drive - A creaky Sebring original - 90 years old

Next to the Sunset Beach Motel. FWIW...The manager says they stopped booking bands nearly a year-and-a-half ago. Still a great deck at sunset.

I stayed at Chateau Elan last weekend (for a Chin event) and it was awful...on par with a bad Motel 6 in my opinion. did I get a bad room or is that the experience of others?

also to the OP...where in FL horse country are you? I'm in Gainesville.

Chateau = vastly over-rated but occasionally cute bartenderesses

LaQuinta = perfect for the 8 hours/day you will spend in a Sebring hotel + a great breakfast.

Errrgh. La Quinta is now vastly over-rated. Awful breakfast. (I was there last weekend.) Rates are up 40%. I stay at a "secret" motel nearby ($55 a night) and eat cereal and drink coffee at La Quinta in the morning on my way to the track. Hey, it says "FREE BREAKFAST."

Guy. I'm between Gville and Ocala off I-75.

Sebring Diner no longer serves dinner. Just breakfast and lunch.

We have always liked the Inn on the Lakes. We did the Chateau once, but never again. Have stayed at Sebring Inn; arms are a good idea, sleep on top of the sheets. YMMV.

Always stay at Laquinta and hit the Sebring diner myself. The diner had staffing troubles which us why they've curtailed the hours.

Chateau at the track has gone way way down hill. Dirty filthy carpet in the rooms, sagging beds, old tvs that don't work, air conditioners with mold in them.

+ for the Residence Inn. They're basically all the same regardless where in the U.S. you stay.

The Chateau has 2 sections. If you get in the old section, it's pretty bad. In the new section (Eastern end) it's just ok. I stay there because for the 6&1/2 hours a day I'm in the room, I'm asleep... And it beats driving into town on Hoosiers.
