Do you feel that the PDK will be a transmission that people in the future will convert to in higher powered racecars? Will it take a great deal more power say 600hp+ ?

Well, we already have 430 HP Caymans running with PDK and they are holding up just fine!

Don't Forget Porsche has the Turbo with 600+ HP running with PDK as well, so they have faith in it....

What kind of scratch are we talking about for just an engine transplant?

Yet until the 918 makes it's race debut Porsche still don't have a race car with paddle mounted sequential transmissions. You would think that the 991 Cups might have something in store. Any word on that?
Such an advantage on the track with a proper paddle shifter.

The 991 GT3 Cup increase of $20K? or so is mostly due to the new paddle shift system. It's a new system for the GT3 Cup this year, mounted on the wheel.
