Start at what porsche recommends on the door sticker cold. Don't worry too much about the cars handling your first time. Focus on the track and driving smooth. Have fun!

We were running a 997T on Tuesday. After my student started pushing the car a little the pressures got up to 50 lbs. I could feel it skating a bit so we took out 5-6 lbs from the rears and 2-3 from the fronts. The TPMS was yelling at us but the handling was much better. I think we finished the next session around 47 rear and 45 fronts. He was running Michelins.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I usually keep my front tires around 34~35 hot, and rear 37~38 hot. But I am running on 19" Michelen PSS instead of the OEM 20" Pirelli PZero's. However, I did notice that the grip went away when the tire pressure got into 40's, on both PSS and PZero's.
I would suggest you get a pyrometer to measure the tire tread temperature right after a session, I found it far more useful in adjusting my tire pressures then just simply guessing.
