Will wheel spacers affect handling?

Im thinking of putting 7mm front spacers and 15mm rear spacers on my 991 s purely for cosmetic reasons.
Will this impact the handling in any way?
I do intend to track the car a bit, in fact i have my first DE at RRR in December.
cheers

Won't affect it, try to use in the front Ruf 7mm spacers, they are the only ones made in that size for self centering the wheel. cheers.

A driver of your experience/capability will not feel any difference. Patrick Long pushing a car to 10/10ths, add the spacers and he would be able to tell the difference.

The question was will it impact the handling in any way and I can tell you that running altered front wheel offsets on my race car is very noticeable in the handling. For street use no big deal, but why set the car up less than optimum when your on the track? The best car to learn on for a new driver is a properly balanced car.

OK, thanks a lot for the responses. I guess i can swap out the spacers at lunchtime or Saturday night and see if i notice a difference. I suspect as others have noted, that given this is my first official track day running in green any difference will be negligible.

It will impact the handling, and in the long haul probably in a way you won't want. At a beginner level the impact won't be significant. Most folks who start tracking their car find that their thoughts and priorities on modifications changes as they get experience. If you've not yet spent the time and money, you might want to hold off for a while.

My medium term plan is to get a track car. Ive started the sales process at home but it may take while. Hopefully i will only do 6 or so in this car before getting a lot cheaper track car with less HP and just learn about the basics.

1) You most likely will not notice
2) Wheel spacers will increase camber gain during compression. Amount is small and would be difficult to measure for most amateurs. Will increase scrub by off setting KPI (King Pin Inclination). Will effectively soften suspension by increasing wheel rate. Can have effects on under/over steer but what it does is depending on other variables. And most important, will increase load on the bearings. All the changes are small and I use wheel spaces in my racing as a tuning aid (band aid) due to the rule limitations I have to comply too.
For a novice DE'er, recommend leaving them off and focus on driving and check your tire PSI.
