I've gotta believe we're the only two here who have endured that disaster. When did you run it? I got my SCCA license there in '83.

For those of you who can't comprehend the above, where else would a track instruction for new drivers be: "Down the front straight until you see the carrots drying, then turn right. You don't want to get into them as there's no traction out there, and we have to pay the farmer for his loss."

Also, you tracked out of those huge, sweeping turns to the edge of the concrete at your peril. Was probably a 4-6" drop if you dropped a wheel.

I was dangerous at ~30mph in the rental car. I tried to wrap my head around what it would be like in the 910 going down the hill after the main straight. Only thing that came to mind was old T2 at Laguna or maybe the esses at Riverside (but that was slightly uphill).

I think that's it- not really allowed to drive as much anymore but COTA laps have been a highlight recently. infineon is my favorite west coast track and VIR is my favorite so far on the east coast. Looking forward to Watkins Glen, Spa, and LaSarthe one day

We went to try and drive it but it was closed. Had a similar problem at Three Valleys last year. Two great ice tracks and not open. What is it with those guys?
