Discussions continue with organizers of the Canadian Historic Grand Prix. This event sounds phenominal.

As the featured series for the event, race organizers are planning to have on hand some of the drivers who raced in the original Rothman's series such as Ron Fellows, Scott Goodyear, and Richard Spenard, along with David Deacon who came up with the idea for the series initially, and Brad Brown who was the organizer of the series. And of course there is no better place to host such an event then in Canada, home of the Rothmans 944 Cup Challenge.

Add to that the great value this event has to offer. The entry is expected to be aorund $500 that will include 3 days of on track sessions. Three sessions Friday and Saturday, with four on Sunday because the 944 Cup is the fetaured series and model. Friday will be 1 hour of practice and qualifying sessions. Saturday will have a short practice and 3 races. Sunday will follow the 3 races plus the weekend finale with the 944 Cup.

This is event is big enough the Cup North Chapter may makes its return to Canada to join in with the Canada Chapter. Possibly even a National Championship.

VARAC runs an awesome event. Terrific and worth every penny.

Too many race groups, an endure or two. It's been going on for more than 25 years just fine. Glad David and his crowd got you all in there.

Sounds like fun. (Nice shot of Gord's car in the picture there!)

Does anyone know what the PCA race weekend will be? Is it the weekend before? Perhaps I can do both in one trip.

VARAC has now agreed to incorporate a 944 "parking corral" for spectators into the Classic Motorsports event.

There will be other activities available as well including:

Thursday - touring sessions on track
Friday rally/tour of the area with a destination lunch stop

Friday evening "Cruise" that includes a couple of lap tours on track supplemented by the planned "Checkered Flag Cruise" car show in the upper paddock complete with live music.

Saturday touring sessions on track

Sunday - Field of Dreams Car Show and parade laps - 944 corral incorporated, with reduced day admission for show cars

Sunday - touring sessions on track

You mean WGI, right? WGI was the last weekend of may/June in 2012.

If it's the same as last year, then they will be 2 weeks apart.

I will do it that is 100% sure. It will be an amazing weekend.

Two years ago, the 944 Cup raced with World Challenge at Mosport just a couple of weeks apart from the PCA Glen event. I wanted to do both, so after the Glen weekend, drove the rig up to Canada where I parked the trailer close to the track, parked the truck at the airport, flew back to the States, then flew back to Canada a couple of weeks later. Worked out great. I was coming out of DC at the time.
