FS: 1973 Carrera RS Replica
After 12 years of pure enjoyment, it's time for me to let this car go to a new home...

Nice car. Need to post interior pix.
The 17 inch wheels are not compliant for historics. Neither HSR or SVRA allow wheels over 16 inches on the older cars. You would get away with it at HSR but not SVRA. HSR may be different next year once the new owners and managers start to get their hands around the organization, it`s rules and compliance.

I am aware that there are various wheel and tire rules depending on where you want to race. The beauty of this car is that it is welcome everywhere. Long hood 911's seem to be especially welcome at historic races - something not always true with cars based on the 911SC, for example.
If a potential buyer prefers 16 wheels, I can accommodate that as well. Having driven the car forever, I think it's fastest and the most fun with the 17 inch wheels. Turn in is fantastic!
If the new buyer wants to race the car, he or she will need to choose tire and wheel packages to best suit the rules where they race. Same always.

The 2.7 motor (built on an aluminium case) has the real-deal MFI set up. I feel it provides better throttle response compared to the carbs. Perhaps not as good on fuel mileage...
I should get Fred to drive it at Lime Rock so we'd know what it can do.

Dick is the kind of guy I would love to buy a car from, meticulous and he doesn't skimp on any repairs or upgrades or abuse a car. The buyer will get a great vintage race car, and can come and play in PCA F, SCCA VHS class, and other vintage series.
