Default Prepping - CMP next weekend - GoPro Issues

Sorta off topic, getting ready for the CR at CMP next weekend. Bought the remote control pack Wi-Fi kit. Have Hero HD, not the HD 2 or 3. Followed directions perfectly on the GoPro site for download and install of the required firmware. No joy, camera still operates (one-touch) ignoring the Wi-Fi/push button start/stop. GoPro tech service no help, dealer unfortunately no help at all and I'm a frequent customer for hard parts. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks!
Chris

Are you still having the issue?? If so let me know, i can call my GOPRO rep, has been a very helpful guy for me!! As much as i like the product, getting in touch with someone @ GOPRO can be tough.

Shoot me a PM.

I looked at that and every time I saw the setup, it was used with a Hero2. The iphone app has a really long delay in the video feed.

I use Tony Oldhams (ynotsportshots@yahoo.com) wired remote. Mount it on the A pillar. Perfect performance.

The wireless remote is the way to go on Pre Hero 3, I got two Hero2's remote wired, no problem whatsoever.

Chris, try this. Put the BacPac on camera. Turn on BacPac and Camera. Push the on button(menu) on the BacPac again. Now you should see a menu in camera. Select wiFi RC. Now try it

Chris:
Did you also update the firmware on the backpack and wifi remote?

I got mine to work by turning OFF the one touch recording. I bet that is 100% your problem.
