I believe it's a PCA policy not to allow contingencies, which is unfortunate financially. PCA has reasons for this, but they are out of our control. While we very much appreciate the rules continuity that allows for racer crossover back and forth between NASA, and the PCA, we can't set our rules in the interest of other sanctioning bodies, especially when they adversely affect our own racers.

Nationals turnout was lower this year for a variety of reasons, but has traditionally been much more at Miller. Even so, thousands of dollars were awarded this year. Yes that is only for a few, but the regional contingencies help most, even if they only come out occasionally.

Doesn't PCA offer contingencies for the Cup Cars who use Michelin slicks purchased through Jackson?

Understood. It is unfortunate because the beauty of 944 spec is that one can go back and forth between NASA, PCA, POC and others clubs with no changes to your car. It gets more racers on track who can't necessarily make a specific series or go for a championship, but can pick and choose which group they want to run with.
