I'd sure wait a few weeks and see where SCCA lands with their new rules for Touring. They contacted me back a month or more asking if I would consider running T1 next year if they made the rules more accomodating. It will be interesting to see what their definiton of accomodation becomes....
Also remember that NASA is probably adding a ST3 class. If you can configure a 996 to compete in both of those class then that will be huge for 996 Spec owners. Hmmm how much weight would I have to add back in. Just joking....

Will have to be pretty heavy to make up for the hp difference with the vettes. So, what platform are you going to?

I hope to get a 997 Cup car and do GT2, as well as some PCA stuff in GTS4
we will see what happens.
Unfortunately, my main computer took a crap, so all of the stuff on it about the car is unavailable for a few days...
Thats ok, Im going to be off fighting for a National Championship "for John"...LOL

I can not comment on where the Cayman fits in SCCA, NASA, etc. as I typically only run with POC. However, I can say that the Cayman can be built into a quite capable and very reliable race car. I know of one that has even out qualified JR and his Schwinn on occassion.
Cheers,
