Klaus V something from canada in a cup car won overall. There was mayhem in both enduro and sprint races. At least 10 wrecks some spectacular!

Klaus is a transplanted Fin...neat guy married to a KS beauty.

Set a new GTA2 lap record at 2:12.57 in his GT3R.

Klaus' car is a monster. Although the enduro was cut way short, the weekend at Road America was great as usual. Great racing, great weather, good times! RA and Watkins Glen are the two best tracks in the U.S. (IMO).

I REALLY wanted the GTC4 track record this weekend and, although I got to 99.5%, I couldn't get it done. I'm now convinced that Pat Kelly really didn't use the brake during his lap...

Not sure if where Peter was up front, but routine 'questionable' driving in my neighborhood. I was put off track twice when even with the next car, hit once, and missed getting destroyed by inches in turn one- all in race #1 on Sunday.

Fortunately, pretty good driving where I was. The biggest issue for me/us all was the enduro. 83 cars and such a big disparity of speed is just a little, dare I say, dangerous. I told my guys after qualifying that if it wasn't a points race, I wouldn't have done the enduro... The track can certainly handle the number of cars but the disparity of speed between the front and back when people are getting lapped is just really not _________.

Klaus is from Finland and lives here in Wichita KS. He is one of the nicest guys you will meet so if you get a chance to say hi he loves talking cars and racing. He has done a terrific job this year setting track records at some tracks he has never raced before. I believe he lowered it by 2 seconds this weekend at RA. He also did it at TX, Highplains, MidOhio, and has it at Hallett and will most likely lower it even more in about a month at the club race. I hope I am not putting a bad spell on him by saying that. Anyway he does not seem to mind going fast.

Paul,

From what I could tell, you were really flying. Didn't you have a 2:20? I cannot recall any 3R ever going that quick.

Mike-
Had a good run going until the races. Felt like I had to go into defensive mode as soon as the green flag dropped. Unfortunately it was Kim's record that dropped...

Klaus's car says " hybrid tribute " on it. I think it may be a real hybrid as fast as he is.

Anyone out there have a results sheet from Red Sprint #2? We were so busy loading, I neglected to grab one.
