Welcome down the "real" slippery slope
I did my first PCA race in a GTA2 car with PDK after a few local gentleman races in a 996 GT3. Two weeks later I bought a 997 Cup to race. Not only do I have zero regrets, I'm glad I made the jump.

I think at you went into your first race with exactly the right attitude - have fun, complete the weekend and don't wreck.
I noticed that you had your visor up and you weren't wearing sunglasses. I recommend having some form of eye protection because a lot of crap can fly in through the windows during a race.
Congrats on joining the party (racing on slicks). It makes all the other bad habits seem cheap!
