That was close Mike.
Did you buy your car already built or did you have it built by someone here in Texas?

Jim Pantas is the director of NASA SouthEast. Very glad to hear him and the other driver are ok; without his and his wife Julie's hard work I would still be fiddling around at autocrosses. There are some pictures floating around on facebook (and I'm sure elsewhere) of the aftermath and it's indeed pretty nasty. There are also pictures of Jim at one of their events last night with a big grin on his face, that's just the kind of guy he is.

I would look for Ott in GTS-3. He is wicked fast as is that Boxster he's driving.

I don't know Jim but if he does not want this posted please let me know and I will delete it. I really wasn't thinking when I decided to share it.

Little lost here, what did you post? The story and pictures are on facebook and from his posts he doesn't seem to mind, I don't think anyone's out of line here. Bottom line is that both drivers are fine and it doesn't seem that any overt negligence caused the incident, so I'm not sure any of it is terribly sensitive.

Mike, they are talking about the spec 944 fire, not the spinning monkeys.

I don't think there is anything sensitive about miatas spinning coming out of Madness ;-)

I bought the car already built from a friend, but I know the builder very well. Not a thing of aesthetic beauty, but it has a good engine, and a great cage. The wheel has a slightly loose nut behind it.
